Manningham Housing Association achieves double shortlisting for national award

Two Manningham Housing Association (MHA) schemes have been shortlisted for Best Suburban Affordable Housing Development at the Inside Housing Development Awards 2026.

One Meadow Victoria Road is a £5 million development of 24 high-quality two, three and four-bedroom homes for social rent in Bradford.

The scheme – delivered in partnership with Zentra Group, Homes England, Bradford Council and the Unity Community Development Consortium - responds directly to a pressing local need for larger affordable family homes, particularly for households living in overcrowded or unsuitable accommodation.

It is joined on the shortlist by Odette’s Point, an £8.1 million affordable housing development at Shann Lane in Keighley delivered in partnership with Avant Homes, Homes England and Bradford Council.

Across two phases, the project has provided 36 high-quality three and four-bedroom family homes for social rent within a wider 124-home development.

According to the judges, the Inside Housing Best Suburban Affordable Housing Development Award “will recognise a development that creates a new community and a desirable, high-quality and affordable place to live.”

Founded in 1986, MHA manages more than 1,400 homes for over 6,000 residents in Bradford and Keighley.  Around 75 per cent of the association’s properties are large family homes with three or more bedrooms.

Lee Bloomfield, Manningham Housing Association Chief Executive, said: “It is a remarkable achievement for a small BME housing association to be shortlisted twice for such a prestigious national award.

“Our success highlights the quality of the homes and MHA’s ability to work productively and successfully with key partners to deliver high-quality affordable homes for people who need them most.

“Such high-profile recognition for separate schemes in Bradford and Keighley also underlines our commitment to serving individuals and families right across the district.”

Rupert Pometsey, Manningham Housing Association Chair, said: “We are proud to be shortlisted at the Inside Housing Development Awards which celebrate outstanding residential developments across the UK, showcasing the very best in delivery, innovation and partnerships.

“Both MHA schemes are stunning developments as evidenced by the many positive comments we receive from residents.

“I want to congratulate the fantastic teams which delivered One Meadow Victoria Road and Odette’s Point with our partners.

“Either development would be a most worthy winner.”

The Inside Housing Development Awards 2026 will be presented on Tuesday 24 November 2026 at InterContinental O2 in London.
